This is just a little catch up – the next entry will be one that you will not want to miss. I should have it up in a few days.
Retirement:
Before I retired a couple of years ago I had conversations with some that had retired before and without fail they indicated that they were so busy that they just didn’t have time to do the things they really want to do. I found that statement hard to believe.
Now that I have been retired for 2+ years – I really understand what they meant. I have not posted on this blog for so long – it’s embarrassing. My apologies to those that had faithfully been following my blog.
Please don’t think that I no longer shoot photos. In fact, I have done several workshops and a few personal sessions that I have managed to squeeze into my limited time. Of course , the family obligations always take priority and it’s been a busy time family-wise
Its been a busy time – building a new house in Chapel Hill, NC – broke ground last year. Very exciting to get it finally started and finally finished.
Anyone that has built a house from the ground up can attest to the amount of time it takes out of your daily routine.
My step-daughter got engaged since the last post – in fact, the weddding is in just a few weeks. Another place where time disappears. of course there was a party for all the friends and relatives. A great time.
Those of you that know me well – know that my grandson is in the army so I needed take time for some golfing with him and my granddaughter when he was home on leave. His tour is finally up and it’s going to be great to have him back safe at home in the Knoxville area.
Of course – I found some time to just go out and shoot a few things besides the assisgnments and workshops that I managed to work in. I will follow this with some of those more exciting and educational things in keeping with the goals of my blog.
See you shortly!!
Always fun to read your blog and see what you’re up to.
Good to see you back Bill and all the best to you and your family. Chapel Hill is a great place to be. Nice deal top be closer to the kids as well. We are planning the same thing to Cape Cod since my daughter, son in law and grand kids are in Boston. In any event congratulations and I will be reading up on your adventures soon.
